Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Committee

A Hazard Mitigation Plan is designed to reduce or eliminate risk to people and property from a range of hazards including wildfires, earthquakes, hurricanes, winter storms, and flooding. The plan identifies the community's susceptibility and vulnerability to each hazard, essential facilities at risk, and proposes new strategies to potentially mitigate or reduce future damages. The Town is currently in the process of updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan, which was last updated in 2010.

Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission is assisting in the preparation of the Hazard Mitigation Plan, under the guidance of a committee with representatives from the Police, Fire, Planning and Public Works Departments.
