“Library After Dark” Movie Night

On Wednesday, April 13 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m., Leach Library will host a special after-hours movie night in the adult room! Join the library staff for a showing of Disney’s live-action movie Beauty and the Beast along with refreshments, raffle prizes, and a selfie photo booth. PJs and costumes are welcome.

Kids’ Corner Story Time

Join Miss Jennifer for a 30-minute story time session on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. or Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the Leach Library Children’s Room! Participants will receive a small stuffed animal and a take-home activity.

Space is limited to 10 children. Registration opens on Tuesday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. To register, please visit the children’s desk or call the library at (603) 432-1127.

Russia, the United States, and the War in Ukraine

On Wednesday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Kurk Dorsey, Professor of History and Liberal Studies at the University of New Hampshire, will present a talk on Russia, the United States, and the war in Ukraine at the Leach Library. He will provide commentary on the history of the conflict, the perspectives of the Ukrainian citizens, the threat of nuclear warfare, and the efforts at diplomacy.

Dr. Dorsey holds a PhD in History from Yale University and is currently the History Department Chair at the University of New Hampshire.

Young Adult Book Bingo

On Friday, April 22 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., Leach Library will offer a book bingo game for young adults. All bingo winners can choose a free book. The program is limited to the first 25 participants in grades 6-12. For further information, please call the library at (603) 432-1132.

Children’s Book Bingo

Leach Library will offer three sessions of children’s picture bingo during school vacation week! Winners will choose a free book to take home. Sessions are available on April 26, 27, and 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
